ADDITIVES

The additives are products which are dosed in a small percent of cement weight and modify or improve the properties of fresh mortar and concrete and once the material has hardened.
We have available additives to satisfy the most varied requirements in relation with mortar and concrete.
Fluidizers that allow to decrease the mixing-water and with it achieve a suitable setting without decreasing mechanical resistance or even increasing the resistance if the amount of water is reduced and keeping the setting. Fluidizers are very useful in high reinforcement density concreting, in cases where an increasing of resistance is required, in prefabricated concrete to achieve better finishes of the pieces, for filling works to obtain a suitable pouring consistency.
Plasticisers to improve the workability of cement based mortars, allowing a better commissioning. Also, the plasticisers improve the mortar behaviour in cold environments avoiding the breaking of capillaries by freezing.
Quick setting and hardening accelerators that allow that the mortar or concrete achieve design resistance in less time, what is very useful in case of using moulds because allow a higher turnover of them. In surfaces that is required a quick commissioning such as floorings and premises or garages entrances, etc…
Retardants to concreting with high temperatures and for keeping a better workability of mixings or making possible the material displacement.
Dyes for giving colour to mortar and concrete, very suitable for decorative concretes, for prefabricated parts with faced finishing. For parking or garage floorings, shopping centres, industrial warehouses, etc…
Additives improvers of adherence and mechanical properties in general based on polymers.
